The polysemous rock — I love you son!

Polysemy is a fantastic phenomenon where one 'sign’ can have multiple meanings. It is seen throughout the English language, seen as the most polysemous language in the world. For example, the word 'rock' can not only be associated with a complex hard mineral but can also refer to rocking or shaking, as in the classic Rolling Stones song: "I wanna rock and roll all night." It is fascinating to think that from such a small word, so many meanings can erupt. When I hear the word rock; sweat pours off my finger tips. My son and I have a favorite hobby its rock picking. When I hear the word rock so many thoughts come to mind. I've learned to kick out the bad ones! I created my own phenomenon where I in fact did want to rock and roll all night, and party every day. Let me tell you why I couldn't be no Led Zeppelin, although quite often I shook all night long!
